In Chi Gung, there is a belief that you can contain your energy with how you live. There are five beliefs. In this blog I will centre on the first one. The first belief is in how you speak.
- Your words – Remember that phrase “speak no evil”? We have to watch how we talk. So many patterns from our parents and peers bleed into our daily language and we have to hone it right back and think…”What is my intention through my words? Do I intend to harm or cure?” Here is a little reminder. The phrase “bite your tongue”, is there to tell us not to say things that will hurt or disrupt. Sometimes it’s not always a good idea to say nothing -and yet saying the truth can hurt. Aim to balance your words, always speaking your truth, but being kind with it too.
Be careful
Be courageous
Be Conscious
Be sure
Before you speak
Will your words kill – or cure?
Words can heal
To uplift is the goal
Words reveal
Valuate your role
Speak to your soul with respect in place
You’ll speak to others with equal grace
